We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer, with hands on capabilities, to drive the development and integration of our core products. This role involves leading a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, electro-optical, environmental, and qualification engineers to ensure our hardware meets the highest standards in performance, reliability, and compliance.
As a Senior Hardware engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design tradeoffs, bring-up and integration, deployment and testing of our innovative solutions.

In your day-to-day you'll
• Lead and mentor engineers across multiple hardware disciplines.
• Plan and manage team tasks, ensuring alignment with project timelines and company goals.
• Oversee the design, development, and integration of core components.
• Guide the system architecture, component selection, and prototype development phases.
• Define and lead environmental, mechanical, and reliability qualification processes to validate product robustness.
• Work closely with software, computer vision AI teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) improvements.
• Engage with external suppliers and partners to source critical components and technologies.
• As a start-up company, be part of hands on HW bring-up and integration.

Requirements
To excel in this role, we need you to have
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Aeronautic Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and qualifying complex electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.
• Strong understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, embedded systems, and mechanical enclosures.
• Great system view and understanding of transformation of requirements to implementation and design.
• Practical knowledge of complete development lifecycle processes such as traditional waterfall as well as Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and insights to diverse stakeholders, including executives, engineers, customers, and partners.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Hard worker with a can-do approach, who loves to be hands on.
You can stand out from the crowd if you are
• Hands-on development experience with image/video processing based systems, Edge AI systems, IoT devices, and camera sensors, combined with cloud based systems.
• Experience in automotive industry, specifically sensors and autonomous vehicles.
• With deep understanding of defense and aerospace systems, including avionics and the associated avionics certification processes (Environmental/EMC Qualification, Airworthiness, RAMS, etc.)
