Description
Act as the Owner’s technical authority for all civil engineering matters (earth works, road and drainage work, foundation works, structural etc.) throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure that the construction complies with the design and contract requirements, applicable codes (IEC, IEEE), and local regulations
Participate in design review meetings and HAZOP studies
Monitor all civil construction activities and ensure that the construction is according to approved designs and quality standards
Assist in resolving engineering issues that arise during construction
Interface with the EPC contractor, Owner’s project team, and third-party consultants to
ensure technical alignment
Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Prepare the OE civil technical reports and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering specializing in structural
Registered Israeli civil engineer
Preferred holding an Israeli civil engineer licenses as structural engineer
Minimum of 15 years in Civil engineering on industrial large-scale projects
Experience in the construction of at least 2 power plants
In-depth knowledge of international design codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes)
Full familiarity with the requirements of the Israeli's law and local authorities
Strong understanding of construction practices, quality assurance, and project management
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and across cultures
Fluent Hebrew and English
